Airport terminal with passengers and aircraft

Airport terminals handle heavy logistics traffic and continuous passenger flows. Both generate large quantities of polluted air: coarse dust from ground operations and vehicles, and molecular pollutants (odours and gaseous compounds) from fuel, catering and dense occupancy.

Effective terminal air purification requires a staged approach:

  • Coarse and fine filtration of supply and recirculation air to protect passengers, staff and HVAC equipment from heavy dust loads.
  • Molecular filtration where gaseous pollutants and odours need to be controlled.
  • Regular filter maintenance, because dust loads at airports are far above normal commercial levels.
